Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years of baking experience
  • ability to read, understand, follow, and adjust baking formulas
  • follow verbal directions and organize work according to written instructions
  • work independently under pressure of multiple deadlines
  • ability to work independently in a logical, efficient, and productive manner
  • must speak, read, and understand English
  • basic knowledge of foodservice math including calculating baking formula changes
  • experience using bakeshop equipment including high-volume mixers, baker's scale, dough divider, sheeter, proof box, convection and conventional ovens
  • must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • flexibility and willingness to learn and execute various jobs
  • must have a friendly and helpful attitude with high degree of customer contact

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years of baking experience
  • ability to read, understand, and adjust baking formulas
  • follows verbal and written instructions effectively
  • ability to work independently under pressure
  • skilled in baking weights and measures
  • experience using bakeshop equipment including high-volume mixers, baker's scale, dough divider, sheeter, proof box, convection and conventional ovens
  • physically able to lift 50 lbs
  • friendly and helpful attitude with strong customer contact skills
  • associate's degree in baking and pastry preferred
  • 3+ years of high-volume baking experience preferred
  • pastry experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Works as a member of the culinary team to ensure production needs are met
  • scales, bakes, finishes, and prepares baked goods for storage and delivery following preparation guidelines and department recipes
  • prepares baked goods using various baking methods and equipment
  • ensures all baked products are produced and presented in a high-quality manner
  • collaborates with management and chef in creating and implementing new products and recipes
  • handles and stores ingredients and finished products according to sanitation procedures
  • completes temperature charts, production sheets, and service records accurately
  • reports equipment problems to management immediately
  • performs other related food service duties as assigned
  • works efficiently under fast-paced, high-volume, and high-pressure conditions
