Job Requirements

  • At least one year of professional baking experience
  • must have a valid Food Handler Certificate prior to start date
  • open availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including frequent bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and stooping
  • ability to remain positive and productive in a potentially hot or cold work environment

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, ensuring proper inventory control
  • cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen/bakery staff according to the Hogsalt Recipe Index, ensuring food quality and time standards are always met
  • answer, report to, and follow instructions and direction from Bakery Operations Manager, Baking & Pastry Director, Executive Chef, or other leadership
  • properly clean and break down station at the end of service, ensuring all food handling and food storage standards are met
  • ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations at all times
  • maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, leadership, and vendors
