Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous baking or food service experience preferred
  • ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds
  • availability to work flexible shifts including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings or overnight
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • adherence to health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Customer focus with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and personnel
  • effective problem-solving skills to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic environment
  • comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies including training on equipment
  • knowledge of retail food business and perishable department operations
  • ability to work in a team environment and support department goals

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
  • monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
  • adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
  • provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
  • keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level especially for early mornings and evenings
  • maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily
  • work closely with all Bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
  • maintain regular, timely attendance and provide adequate notice for absences
  • perform other duties as assigned
