Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide prompt and courteous service or assistance
- Commit to the Golden Rule and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- Achieve the highest associate morale in the industry by working in a style that is respectful, supportive and totally team oriented (RSTO)
- Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise
- Check and verify receiving to ensure items listed on vendor invoices are delivered
- Check products for quality, count, and condition
- Keep all bakery ingredients or merchandise rotated according to company policy and product code dates
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control
- Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy
- Take stock to storage or shelf areas
- Prepare all baking mixtures in accordance with established company or department procedures and recipes
- Pan up frozen products and pan and roll up bread
- Load and unload oven
- Know the proper temperatures and duration to bake all products
- Operate mixer and write on cakes, prepare product to meet customers specifications
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations including safety, health and packaging requirements
- Practice proper sanitation procedures
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and observe company dress code including wearing approved hat or hair net
- Keep display cases, cooler and freezer organized and clean
- Exercise proper safety practices when lifting or moving product or using equipment
