Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years baking or pastry experience
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Familiarity with bakery equipment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in baking or pastry production
  • Knowledge of pastry equipment usage and maintenance
  • Ability to train and supervise staff

Job Duties

  • Plan production for the Baking department in absence of pastry chef
  • Demonstrate and use proper time management skills
  • Train staff in approved production methods
  • Produce centerpieces using various mediums
  • Train and maintain proper usage and cleaning of pastry equipment
  • Requisition supplies and ensure proper storage
  • Maintain production records
  • Participate in production of baking items
  • Maintain pastry shop cleanliness and organization
  • Store unused ingredients properly
  • Write and follow schedules
  • Produce special occasion cakes
  • Keep a personal log of approved formulas
