Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • adaptability to different situations and ability to respond with flexibility to shifting priorities and rapid change
  • ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions
  • ability to move, lift, carry and place merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • frequently reach overhead and below the knees including pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching and twisting
  • occasional climbing
  • continuous repetitive motion with hands and arms
  • stand and/or walk throughout the shift
  • ability to visually locate merchandise and verify small print information
  • may be exposed to various weather conditions and indoor environmental variations
  • may be exposed to cleaning solvents or chemicals
  • may be exposed to allergens such as latex, eggs, nuts, soy and wheat
  • employment may be contingent upon PEP survey, drug screen, reference check and background check

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • support bakery department operations including readiness, staffing, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation and department cleanliness
  • manage bakery replenishment and inventory including ordering, receiving, invoicing, back stock, reclamation, returns, damages and reworks
  • adhere to proper equipment and tool cleaning and maintenance
  • follow food safety production guidelines for fresh product preparation, packaging, weighing, pricing, and labeling
  • maintain department cleaning standards with approved equipment and chemicals
  • use critical thinking to solve operational issues
  • ensure consistent production of high-quality bakery products emphasizing safety
