Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- culinary degree or certificate preferred or relevant 1-5 years experience
- must be 18 or older to apply
- must be 21 or older for Beverage Server, Barback, Bartender positions
- excellent guest service skills required
- knowledge of food storage and safe handling
- knowledge of knife handling and sharpening
- knowledge of weights and measures
- knowledge of stocks, soups and sauces
- ability to present plates attractively
- familiarity with health department and sanitation regulations
- ability to communicate clearly and courteously
- ability to resolve guest concerns
- ability to comply with uniform and appearance standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to assist teammates
- ability to handle money and operate cash registers
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- degree or certificate from a major culinary arts college or institute preferred or 1-5 years experience as a line cook in a major hotel or food chain
- working knowledge of American and European pastries
- excellent guest service skills
- working knowledge of food storage, knife handling and sharpening, weights and measures, stocks, soups and sauces, plate presentations, recipes and yields
- knowledge of health department regulations, sanitation, and safety regulations
- clear and courteous communication skills with guests and coworkers
- ability to resolve general guest concerns appropriately
Job Duties
- adhere to guest service requirements
- adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards
- comply with uniformed appearance standards while on duty
- produce all recipes on restaurant menus consistently according to menu standards
- perform advanced production and service skills including set-up tasks of every kitchen station
- control kitchen operations including portions, wastage, production, plate presentation, and recipe execution
- take inventories, place and receive orders
- practice safe food handling and sanitation duties
- delegate shift station responsibilities and supervise kitchen when called upon
- handle varying business with minimal assistance
- assist other team members as needed
- perform cashier duties including operating till drawers and managing money accountability
- comply with company rules, regulations, and employee handbook policies
- report equipment malfunctions
- maintain station cleanliness and order
- report with proper tools, clean uniform, and recommended footwear at stated times
