Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • Frequent immersion of hands in water and chemical solutions
  • Frequent use of sharp knives, utensils, and ovens
  • Ability to work in hot environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of closely related cooking experience
  • Work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation pertaining to kitchen and pantry
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Good communication skills to converse comfortably with customers

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, and serving baked food items including desserts and other food and beverage products
  • Taste products, follow menus, estimate food requirements, check production and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment as needed
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices and comply with HACCP standards
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment, measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred food items
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
