Job Requirements
- Prior restaurant or hotel experience preferred
- Willingness to train
- Ability to work full time on weekdays with varying hours
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to baking including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Must comply with food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers
- Ability to complete assigned tasks thoroughly and timely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in baking or culinary production preferred but willingness to train is accepted
- Ability to follow recipes and production guidelines accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work as part of a team and handle high volume production
- Good organizational and time management skills
Job Duties
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per production and catering sheets
- Assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
- Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and production standards
- Complete production records including waste tracking and product shortages
- Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- Handle food items safely following all safety and corporate standards
- Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner
- Keep up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
- Check food presentation, serving and display per standards
- Follow sanitation and safety principles ensuring OSHA compliance
- Complete assigned shift work in a timely and thorough manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
