Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience preferred
- Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation and maintenance of bakery equipment
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift including holidays and weekends
- Must pass background check
- Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push and pull minimum of 100 lbs in a cart
- Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder while carrying minimum of 50 lbs
- Knowledge of proper pastry bag, cake decorating, piping, knife and spatula techniques
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods or entire shift
- Flexibility in fingers and hands to handle kitchen/bakery equipment and utensils
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Familiar with all phases and operations of bakery
- Sense of urgency and ability to react to changing demands

- Skills in pastry bag use, cake decorating, piping, knife and spatula techniques

- Familiarity with bakery phases and kitchen operations
- Ability to maintain urgency and adapt to changing business demands
Job Duties
- Responsible for the production and decorating of all baked and finished goods for property outlets
- Follows standard, established recipes by weighing, mixing, proofing, baking and finishing baked products
- Ability to produce individual pastries, cakes, pies, plated desserts, breads, cookies and decorate by company standards
- Ability to mix, form and bake formulas accurately and troubleshoot discrepancies
- Follows order forms and forecasts ingredients needed for the following day
- Prepares pans and loads and unloads ovens
- Operates bakery equipment including scale, upright mixer, steam kettle, stove, sheeter, glaze machine and confectionery machines
- Oversees workstation based on par levels, occupancy and reservations
- Maintains and rotates dated food stock for quality assurance
- Provides relief for Sous Chefs and assists in all kitchen areas as assigned
- Maintains station in clean and sanitary condition according to standards
- Recognizes and corrects product discrepancies and quality variations
