  • Working knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and guests

  • Ability to follow recipes and read production sheets

  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Ability to understand verbal directives and written instructions
  • Ability to routinely lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time

Job Duties

  • Provides guests with baked goods by following recipes according to established standards and as projected on menus or catering requests
  • preparing food product according to production sheets
  • measuring, mixing, baking, and decorating baked goods
  • portioning and delivering baked goods
  • ensuring all baked goods are replenished as needed
  • storing product according to established procedures
  • Maintains efficient operation of the Bakery area by following food production sheets and recipes
  • regulating food product utilization
  • checking food products for temperature and freshness
  • rotating food items as needed
  • communicating standards to the bakery personnel
  • assisting other bakers as needed
  • communicating relevant information between shifts
  • Maintains safe and sanitary area by checking food products for appropriate temperature and freshness
  • replenishing and rotating food items as necessary
  • following correct food cooling and storage procedures
  • cleaning and organizing work according to established procedures
  • Assists in caterings on both on and off-site events by creating dessert trays as needed
  • assisting in the set-up, execution and break down of events
