Job Requirements

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable
  • work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • have outgoing and friendly behavior
  • possess good communication skills
  • be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitation
  • be able to operate bakery equipment and tools
  • stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  • adhere to safety and health regulations
  • maintain Food Handlers permit

  • have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
  • operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
  • maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and floors
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated items
  • receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
  • answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping in the department including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
