Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior
- Have good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Be able to operate bakery equipment
- Ability to stand and transfer items for long periods
- Adhere to safety and health regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Have an outgoing and friendly behavior and a positive attitude
- Have good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift
- Ability to transfer trays and items of various weights safely
- Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the bakery manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the bakery department area and equipment
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- Answer phones and take special customer orders
- Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize the work area
