Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months to one year of bakery or related work experience
- Ability to provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Ability to follow sanitation and safety guidelines
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members
- Availability to work scheduled hours and report on time
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Over six months to one year of related bakery or food service experience
- Knowledge of bakery production and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, fryers
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to follow schedules and production timelines
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Learn customers' names and address them by name when possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting and passing along suggestions, and performing tasks to enhance shopping experience
- Answer telephone promptly and take product orders
- Check daily orders and set up production schedule
- Prepare, bake, and fry all department products as needed
- Review product freshness and pull stale items
- Invoice and put away products
- Anticipate product needs for current and future days
- Inspect incoming products for quality and quantity
- Use and monitor bakery equipment
- Check signage for correct labels
- Review department safety
- Lead bakery clerks
- Prioritize and proof orders
- Pull products from freezer or cooler
- Maintain proper sanitation
- Enforce personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- Report to work on time
- Order supplies as directed
- Review and re-merchandise shelves
- Manage department schedule and replacements in manager's absence
- Assist in other store areas as needed
- Perform other duties and projects as required
