Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including night, weekends, and holidays
  • demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
  • have a positive attitude and good communication skills
  • be able to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitation of work areas
  • be able to operate bakery tools and equipment
  • be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously
  • be able to transfer trays and items weighing 5 to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
  • adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • maintain a Food Handler permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • have good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • be capable of standing for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift
  • maintain a Food Handler permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain cleanliness of the bakery department including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while managing product rotation and discarding outdated items
  • receive, inspect, and log products to verify shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • take special orders and answer phones as needed
  • adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
