Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including night, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
- have a positive attitude and good communication skills
- be able to take direction and participate in a team environment
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and sanitation of work areas
- be able to operate bakery tools and equipment
- be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously
- be able to transfer trays and items weighing 5 to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handler permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- have good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- be capable of standing for up to 3 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift
- maintain a Food Handler permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain cleanliness of the bakery department including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while managing product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products to verify shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- take special orders and answer phones as needed
- adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
