- Experience in baking or food service preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide prompt and courteous service or assistance
- Commit to the Golden Rule and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- Achieve the highest associate morale by working respectfully and supportively
- Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise while verifying accuracy and quality
- Keep bakery ingredients and merchandise rotated according to company policy
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control
- Handle damaged and spoiled products according to policy
- Prepare baking mixtures according to established recipes
- Pan up frozen products and pan and roll up bread
- Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, and slicers
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of display cases, coolers, and workstations
- Exercise proper safety practices when lifting or moving products or using equipment
- Restock supply items efficiently to reduce waste
- Promote items using the public address system
- Notify management of theft, shoplifting, or unauthorized markdowns
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
