Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance
- commit to the Golden Rule and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- achieve the highest associate morale by working in a style that is respectful, supportive and totally team oriented (RSTO)
- assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise and verify receiving to ensure all items listed on vendor invoices are delivered
- keep all bakery ingredients or merchandise rotated in accordance with company policy and product code dates, using oldest products first (first in, first out)
- assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control
- handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and help control damaged goods
- take stock to storage or shelf areas
- prepare all baking mixtures according to established company or department procedures and recipes
- pan up frozen products and pan and roll up bread
- load and unload oven, knowing the proper temperatures and duration to bake all varieties of products
- operate mixer and write on cakes/prepare product to meet customers specifications
- adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations including full compliance with safety, health and packaging requirements
- practice the Cleaner's Creed and proper sanitation procedures
- maintain neat, well groomed personal appearance and follow company dress code with approved hat or hair net
- keep display cases, cooler and freezer organized and clean, including cleaning walls, fans, drains, equipment, utensils, and work tables
- wipe countertops and front display cases
- exercise proper safety practices when lifting, moving products or using equipment
