Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to operate bakery equipment and use scales
- ability to perform general cleaning and sanitation duties
- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- must maintain Food Handlers permit
- reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- outgoing and friendly demeanor with positive attitude
- good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- ability to answer phones and take special orders
- able to perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas
- able to operate bakery equipment and use scales and weight measures
- able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- adherence to all safety, health, and weight regulations
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain cleanliness of the bakery department area including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while managing product rotation and discarding outdated items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks
- adhere to safety and health regulations and maintain a Food Handlers permit
