Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Good vision and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in a hot environment and tolerate temperature variations
  • Availability to work varied hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Ability to comply with company dress code and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Over one year of experience as a baker is preferred but not required
  • On-the-job training is provided
  • Previous experience in retail is an added advantage
  • Ability to bake various goods following recipes and adjusting as necessary
  • Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and meet production schedules
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings according to established recipes and techniques
  • Weigh and measure ingredients precisely to ensure consistency in product quality
  • Operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofing chambers
  • Shape, mold, and decorate dough to create a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts
  • Monitor the baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection and meet desired standards
  • Coordinate with the bakery lead to determine baking priorities and production schedules
  • Assist in inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies
  • Follow strict sanitation and food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic baking environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
