Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Good vision and manual dexterity
- Ability to work in a hot environment and tolerate temperature variations
- Availability to work varied hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to comply with company dress code and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Over one year of experience as a baker is preferred but not required
- On-the-job training is provided
- Previous experience in retail is an added advantage
- Ability to bake various goods following recipes and adjusting as necessary
- Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet production schedules
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Duties
- Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings according to established recipes and techniques
- Weigh and measure ingredients precisely to ensure consistency in product quality
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofing chambers
- Shape, mold, and decorate dough to create a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts
- Monitor the baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection and meet desired standards
- Coordinate with the bakery lead to determine baking priorities and production schedules
- Assist in inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies
- Follow strict sanitation and food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic baking environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
