Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Dependable and reliable with flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Outgoing and friendly personality
- Good communication skills
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks including cleaning tables, floors, walls, cases, coolers, and freezers
- Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Ability to lift and transfer trays weighing up to 5 lbs from 7 to 64 inches for up to 10 hours
- Ability to lift and transfer items weighing up to 40 lbs from 5 to 36 inches for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Hold and maintain a Food Handler's permit

Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris, and sweeping
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining product rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Take special orders and answer customer inquiries
- Operate bakery equipment and use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
