Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance
- Commit to the golden rule and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- Achieve the highest associate morale by working in a style that is respectful, supportive and totally team oriented
- Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise and verify product quality, count, and condition
- Keep all bakery ingredients or merchandise rotated according to company policy ensuring first in, first out
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control
- Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling damaged goods
- Take stock to storage or shelf areas
- Prepare all baking mixtures according to established company procedures and recipes
- Pan up frozen products and pan and roll up bread
- Load and unload ovens knowing proper temperatures and duration for baking
- Operate mixer and decorate cakes or prepare product to meet customer specifications
- Adhere to all health and civil code regulations including safety, health and packaging requirements
- Practice proper sanitation procedures and maintain clean work environment
- Maintain neat and well-groomed personal appearance in compliance with company dress code
- Keep display cases, cooler and freezer organized and clean along with cleaning walls, fans, drains, utensils, and work tables
- Exercise proper safety practices when lifting or moving product or using equipment
