Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must be 18 years of age or older
- availability to work varied hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- good hand-eye coordination
- ability to perform repetitive motions
- ability to work in hot environments
- compliance with dress code including use of approved hats or hair nets, safety toes, and non-slip shoes
- good communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to maintain physical stamina for an 8-hour shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- over one year of experience as a baker is preferred but not required
- previous experience in retail is an added advantage
- knowledge of basic baking processes and techniques including preparing dough, batters, and baked goods
- familiarity with proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- ability to bake various goods following recipes and adjusting as necessary
- ability to measure ingredients precisely and ensure quality and appearance of products
- efficient time management skills
- ability to adapt to changing situations and manage multiple demands
- good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- good vision to ensure quality of baked goods
Job Duties
- Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings according to established recipes and techniques
- weigh and measure ingredients precisely to ensure consistency in product quality
- operate and maintain baking equipment including mixers, ovens, and proofing chambers
- shape, mold, and decorate dough to create a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts
- monitor the baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection and meet desired standards
- coordinate with the bakery lead to determine baking priorities and production schedules
- assist in inventory management ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies
- follow strict sanitation and food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic baking environment
- perform other duties as assigned
