Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent
- Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have good communication skills
- Be able to take direction and work in a team
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
- Be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Ability to handle physical tasks involving lifting up to 40 lbs safely
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Food Handlers permit requirements
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involving lifting and transferring items safely
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- Stock, fill, face, ensure pricing accuracy, rotate bakery products, and discard outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Adhere to food safety, health, and weight regulations
- Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks as needed
