Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in baking or food production preferred
  • ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
  • physical capacity to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
  • willingness to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work flexible shifts including evenings or overnight as needed
  • capability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines strictly
  • effective communication skills
  • customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
  • monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
  • adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
  • provide excellent customer service to guests by assisting with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
  • answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
  • keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs
  • maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards, including quantity expectations, are met daily
  • work closely with all bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
  • regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
  • perform other duties as assigned
