Job Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Over six months up to one year of similar or related bakery experience
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently
- Must be able to perform physical activities including stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Ability to meet visual requirements including vision from more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision
- Must complete pre-employment drug screening
- Adherence to company policies and professional hygiene and dress standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Over six months to one year of related bakery experience
- Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of bakery equipment and safety protocols
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out of reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, and passing along suggestions
- Answers telephone and takes product orders
- Checks orders and sets up production schedule
- Prepares, bakes, and fries bakery products
- Reviews product freshness and pulls stale items
- Invoices and puts away product
- Inspects incoming products quality and quantity
- Operates bakery equipment and monitors maintenance needs
- Maintains sanitation and cleanliness
- Prioritizes orders and proofs necessary items
- Operates as a lead with bakery clerks
- Adheres to company policies and dress code
- Reports to work on time
