Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable
  • have ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • have outgoing and friendly behavior
  • possess good communication skills
  • able to take direction and participate in team environment
  • able to answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitation
  • able to operate bakery equipment
  • able to stand up to 3 hours continuously per shift
  • able to transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
  • adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • maintain Food Handlers permit

  • have 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • have outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude
  • good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • physically able to stand for extended periods and transfer items weighing up to 40 lbs
  • adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated items
  • receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
  • answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area
