Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Previous experience baking is required
  • Restaurant operations aptitude and mastery of back-of-house roles and equipment
  • Ability to work with temperature extremes including -10F in walk-in freezer
  • Ability to lift, handle, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must successfully complete restaurant training program
  • Maintain a willingness to learn

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in baking
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and back-of-house (BOH) kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work in temperature extremes including walk-in freezers
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to complete training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Job Duties

  • Prep, portion, prepare, and assemble all desserts and pastries offered in the restaurant
  • Execute all food preparation and procedures according to Ruth's Chris Steak House recipe specifications and quality standards
  • Work under the direction of the Sous Chef or Manager-on-Duty
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of baking supplies
  • Participate in restaurant training programs and continuously improve baking skills
