Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- one year recent experience as a baker pastry cook or baker's assistant or equivalent education and experience
- must be at least 18 years old
- no felony theft or stealing convictions
- pass pre employment drug alcohol screening
- pass background investigation
- obtain and maintain gaming license
- knowledge of kitchen equipment utensils tools and machinery
- knowledge of safe kitchen practices
- knowledge of basic bread and pastry methods and techniques
- ability to communicate read and write basic English
- ability to deliver outstanding guest service
- ability to work in a busy fast paced environment
- ability to maintain professional appearance and manner
- ability to organize and coordinate team tasks
- ability to safely use and administer cleaning equipment and supplies
- knowledge of basic foods and their uses
- knowledge of all food safety regulations
- ability to learn culinary methods techniques and principles
- ability to communicate clearly to all levels of management
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- ability to work evenings holidays weekends and graveyard shifts
- willingness to work in high noise heat fumes and secondhand smoke environment

Job Duties
- cook and prepare a variety of baked goods according to the menu and demand
- use or learn proper knife skills baking and pastry techniques methods and terminology
- read understand and follow standardized recipes for bakery and pastry items
- clearly communicate with pastry chefs
- maintain and communicate stock levels to ensure safe par levels
- maintain a clean organized and sanitized work area following all health and food safety regulations
- ensure assigned venues and kitchens are ready to open on time
- keep all food storage areas clean organized labeled and dated
- clean and organize equipment tools floors work stations and food prep areas
- work according to established casino procedures
- communicate well with team members maintaining a professional work environment
- contribute to team effort and complete all tasks
- perform other duties as required
