Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Over six months of similar or related experience
  • Able to perform physical activities including stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work overnight shifts
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Department training is helpful
  • Over six months to one year of similar or related experience
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • Ability to do arithmetic with fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Able to copy data, interview for basic information, guide and direct people

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
  • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
  • Make an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
  • Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing items out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions
  • Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service including taking product orders
  • Check orders and set up timelines and production schedules
  • Prepare, bake and fry all department products as needed
  • Review product freshness and pull by stale date
  • Invoice and put away products as instructed
  • Anticipate product needs for current and future days
  • Inspect incoming products for quality and quantity
  • Understand bakery equipment use and maintenance issues
  • Check signage and labels for accuracy
  • Review department for safety issues
  • Operate as lead with bakery clerks
  • Prioritize orders per customer and manager requests
  • Proof necessary items
  • Pull product from freezer or cooler
  • Practice proper sanitation procedures and maintain clean work area
  • Maintain adherence to personal hygiene and dress codes
  • Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
  • Report to work scheduled and on time
