Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in baking or culinary field preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Capacity to safely operate kitchen tools and equipment
- Effective communication skills in written and spoken English
- Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, crowded environment
- Commitment to following safety and sanitation protocols
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Job Duties
- Prepare baked goods according to prescribed recipes and/or special requests
- Assist Chef in overseeing bread and/or pastry inventory and communicating needs to ordering manager
- Work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives
- Communicate effectively to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken directions
- Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure
- Work in a confined, crowded space with variable noise and temperature levels
- Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand and walk for entire shift and move safely through all restaurant areas
- Prepare ingredients needed for bread, pastry and/or dessert recipes as needed
- Follow prescribed portioning controls and par levels
- Maintain food safety and quality standards
- Read a thermometer correctly and efficiently
- Communicate food delays or issues to Coordinator
- Maintain menu item counts and inform Management and service staff when quantities fall below minimums
- Accurately account for all items leaving the station
- Follow food allergy procedures and special orders/restrictions
- Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- Follow all employment rules, policies, and procedures including those in Employee Handbook
- Work well with others and be a team player
- Perform other duties as assigned
