Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • no felony, theft or stealing convictions
  • must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation
  • must obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work evenings, graveyards, holidays and weekends
  • ability to work in a high noise, heat and fumes environment
  • must follow all health and safety regulations
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • at least 1 year of recent experience as a baker, pastry cook or baker’s assistant
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment, utensils, tools and machinery
  • knowledge of safe practices in kitchen environment
  • knowledge of basic bread and pastry methods and techniques
  • ability to communicate, read, and write clearly in basic English
  • ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service
  • ability to work in fast paced environment
  • ability to perform in professional appearance and manner
  • ability to organize and coordinate tasks among team members
  • knowledge of basic foods and their uses
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to learn culinary methods, techniques and principles
  • ability to communicate clearly to all levels of management

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares a variety of baked goods according to menu and demand
  • uses and learns proper knife skills, baking and pastry techniques, methods, and terminology
  • reads, understands, and follows standardized recipes for bakery and pastry items
  • communicates clearly with Pastry Chefs
  • maintains and communicates food/products needed to ensure proper stock levels
  • maintains clean, organized, and sanitized work areas following health and safety regulations
  • ensures all assigned duties and kitchen areas are maintained
  • prepares venues to open by designated times
  • keeps all food storage areas clean, organized, labeled and dated
  • cleans and organizes equipment, tools, floors, and work stations
  • works according to established procedures
  • maintains positive and professional communication with team members
  • contributes to team effort and accomplishes all tasks
  • performs other duties as required
