Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience combination
  • be dependable and reliable
  • have availability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • possess good communication skills
  • be able to take direction and work collaboratively in a team
  • be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping duties
  • operate bakery equipment safely
  • be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously during shifts
  • be able to lift and transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs
  • adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
  • maintain a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
  • possess good communication skills
  • able to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • able to answer phones and take special orders
  • perform general housekeeping and clean and sanitize work areas
  • able to operate and use bakery tools and equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • able to stand for extended periods and handle physical requirements of the job

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • provide a high level of customer service
  • ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • maintain cleanliness of the bakery department area
  • maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
  • stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy
  • examine rotation of bakery products and discard outdated or spoiled items
  • receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
