Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience combination
- be dependable and reliable
- have availability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- possess good communication skills
- be able to take direction and work collaboratively in a team
- be able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping duties
- operate bakery equipment safely
- be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously during shifts
- be able to lift and transfer trays and items up to 40 lbs
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
- maintain a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- possess good communication skills
- able to take direction and participate in a team environment
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping and clean and sanitize work areas
- able to operate and use bakery tools and equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- able to stand for extended periods and handle physical requirements of the job
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service
- ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain cleanliness of the bakery department area
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy
- examine rotation of bakery products and discard outdated or spoiled items
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
