Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in baking or food preparation is a plus but not required
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work irregular hours including peak and weekend shifts
  • Good physical mobility and coordination
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Reports to work well-groomed in clean and proper uniform and practices good personal hygiene
  • Makes and prepares all baked food items including pies, muffins, cookies, quiche, meatloaf and ribs
  • Adjusts oven temperature controls to regulate baking conditions
  • Monitors and oversees food temperatures during handling to prevent food borne illness
  • Measures ingredients and mixes dough by hand or electric mixer, cuts and molds dough into desired shapes
  • Prepares meats or baked foods according to recipes using various kitchen equipment
  • Tests foods for doneness by tasting, smelling, and piercing
  • Serves high quality and attractive food items as required
  • Assists with steam kettles and grill line during peak business hours
  • Maintains cleanliness of kitchen stations and manages time effectively
