Job Requirements

  • Must have 2 AM availability most days and weekend availability
  • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, kneel regularly
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
  • Ability to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends, holidays, and flexible evening or overnight shifts
  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
  • Must comply with attendance and punctuality requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and personnel
  • Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic work environment while supporting team members
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
  • Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations
  • Experience in baking or a related food production role preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
  • Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
  • Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
  • Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production levels
  • Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards, including quantity expectations, are met daily
  • Work closely with Bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
  • Maintain regular, timely attendance and communicate absences appropriately
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the bakery team
