Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Outgoing and friendly behavior
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and participate in team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
- Ability to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Able to stand up to 3 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to lift trays up to 5 lbs vertically and transfer items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Maintain a valid Food Handlers permit

- Ability to achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while managing the rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
