Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Have good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties in the bakery department
- Ability to use bakery equipment such as knives, scales, and pallet jacks
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks safely
- Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- Maintain a food handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Exhibit good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to operate bakery equipment and safely handle bakery products
- Maintain food handlers permit
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and perform physical labor
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves and floors
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation and discarding outdated products
- Receive, inspect, and log bakery products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
- Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks as needed
- Answer phones and take special orders
