Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Have good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties in the bakery department
  • Ability to use bakery equipment such as knives, scales, and pallet jacks
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks safely
  • Adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
  • Maintain a food handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Exhibit good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment and safely handle bakery products
  • Maintain food handlers permit
  • Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and perform physical labor

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bakery area and equipment, including cleaning shelves and floors
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation and discarding outdated products
  • Receive, inspect, and log bakery products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and pallet jacks as needed
  • Answer phones and take special orders
