Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior
  • Have good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and complete an 8-hour shift
  • Be able to transfer trays up to 5 lbs vertically and items up to 40 lbs with no mechanical assistance
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
  • Maintain a Food Handler's permit

  • Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate dependable and reliable behavior with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Knowledge of operating bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and physically transfer bakery items as required
  • Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and maintain a Food Handler's permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
  • Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
  • Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation and discarding outdated or spoiled bakery products
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping in the bakery department
