Job Duties
- Prepare muffins, cookies, pies, cakes, doughnuts, biscuits, and other pastries along with icings following established recipes
- Measure, scale, mix, and bake products in accordance with proper procedures
- Monitor product quality during and after baking and note any needed recipe adjustments
- Interpret and produce recipes in large volumes while maintaining a strong commitment to detail, consistency, and quality
- Assemble ingredients and equipment required for daily baking activities based on catering orders and menus
- Follow standardized recipes, safe food-handling procedures, and allergen safety best practices
- Train and guide student workers using clear and effective communication skills
- Assist with general kitchen prep, production tasks, and deep cleaning during off-peak times
- Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Address day-to-day issues related to equipment and food products, and complete production sheets when the Bakery Supervisor is unavailable
