Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year baking experience
  • ability to work full time hours 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with variable days
  • must be able to follow recipes and food safety guidelines
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
  • good communication skills
  • capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • legally authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year of baking experience
  • knowledge of bakery production and food safety standards
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and production specifications
  • strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • familiarity with OSHA safety standards
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the workplace
  • basic math skills for production record tracking

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards
  • assist with completion of production records including waste tracking and product shortages
  • maintain proper presentation, food quality, portion control and serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • handle food items according to safety regulations
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner
  • keep up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
  • ensure food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment
  • complete shift work as assigned in a timely manner
  • perform other duties as assigned
