Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
Be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Have good communication skills
Be able to take direction and participate in a team environment
Be able to answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and lift up to 40 pounds
Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Maintain a valid Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
Demonstrate good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Show outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Ability to answer phones and take special orders
Knowledge of operating bakery tools including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide high level customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing debris
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while inspecting and rotating bakery products and discarding outdated items
Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
Operate bakery equipment and tools safely
Participate in general housekeeping and sanitize work areas
