Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous baking or pastry experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years professional baking or pastry experience preferred (but will train the right candidate)
  • Strong understanding of dough development, fermentation, and baking techniques
  • Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Passion for hospitality, craft, and continual improvement

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake breads, rolls, laminated pastries, muffins, cookies, and specialty bakery items daily
  • Scale, mix, ferment, shape, proof, and bake doughs with consistency
  • Maintain par levels and production schedules to meet service demands
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of bakery workspace and equipment
  • Follow recipes and methods accurately while contributing creative ideas to menu development
  • Label, rotate, and manage inventory to minimize waste
  • Uphold food safety/sanitation standards (ServSafe preferred)
