Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent
- be dependable and reliable
- able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- able to perform physical tasks such as standing up to 3 hours continuously and lifting items up to 40 lbs without mechanical assistance
- maintain a Food Handler's permit
- follow all safety and health regulations
- able to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- possess good communication skills
- able to work well in a team environment
- able to answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping tasks
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- demonstrate good communication skills
- have the ability to work in a team environment
- exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- capable of performing general housekeeping duties in the department
- able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks
- able to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 40 lbs
- maintain a Food Handler's permit
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain cleanliness and safety of the bakery department and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing debris
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of all bakery products
- discard outdated or spoiled items
- receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
