Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience or interest in baking and pastry production
- Ability to comprehend and execute detailed instructions both written and oral
- Commitment to maintaining hygiene standards in food preparation areas
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training to improve skills
Job Qualifications
- High School or Graduate Equivalency Exam preferred
- Basic understanding of safety and sanitation regulations relative to food service operations following HACCP guidelines
- Knowledge of dessert and pastry production
- Ability to read written instructions well
- Ability to follow oral instructions
- Training or willingness to receive further training in quantity dessert preparation techniques and sanitation procedures
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of food service duties related to baking and pastry production
- Follow safety and sanitation regulations according to HACCP guidelines
- Prepare desserts and pastries in quantity ensuring quality and consistency
- Read and follow written instructions accurately
- Follow oral instructions effectively
- Participate in further training for dessert preparation techniques and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with the dietary manager and kitchen staff to maintain kitchen operations
