Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five years experience as a baker in commercial or large-scale production setting
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to work early mornings and varied shifts
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Five years proven experience as a baker in a large-scale production or commercial kitchen
  • Proficiency in a variety of baking techniques including bread-making, pastry creation, and cake decoration
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes while managing large-batch production
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a high-temperature environment
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Adaptability to meet the demands of a large, dynamic facility

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of products, including bread, rolls, pastries, cookies, cakes, and desserts according to standardized recipes and production needs
  • Measure and mix ingredients precisely to ensure consistency and quality in all baked goods
  • Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, proofers, and dough sheeters, ensuring functionality and cleanliness
  • Monitor baking processes including proofing, baking times, and temperatures to achieve desired results
  • Manage daily production schedules to meet facility needs, including large-scale orders, special events, and routine offerings
  • Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts as needed including custom designs for special occasions
  • Oversee the storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste
