Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years experience as a baker in commercial or large-scale production setting
- Certification in food safety and sanitation preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to work early mornings and varied shifts
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Five years proven experience as a baker in a large-scale production or commercial kitchen
- Proficiency in a variety of baking techniques including bread-making, pastry creation, and cake decoration
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow detailed recipes while managing large-batch production
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a high-temperature environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Creativity and passion for baking high-quality goods
- Attention to detail and precision in measurements and techniques
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability to meet the demands of a large, dynamic facility
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of products, including bread, rolls, pastries, cookies, cakes, and desserts according to standardized recipes and production needs
- Measure and mix ingredients precisely to ensure consistency and quality in all baked goods
- Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, proofers, and dough sheeters, ensuring functionality and cleanliness
- Monitor baking processes including proofing, baking times, and temperatures to achieve desired results
- Manage daily production schedules to meet facility needs, including large-scale orders, special events, and routine offerings
- Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts as needed including custom designs for special occasions
- Oversee the storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste
