Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
 - two years of previous baking experience
 - ability to work full-time Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, including some Saturdays
 - capability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately
 - compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
 - ability to stand for extended periods
 - good physical stamina
 - willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
 
Job Qualifications
- Two years of previous baking experience
 - ability to use approved recipes and follow production standards
 - capacity to maintain food quality, presentation and portion control
 - strong commitment to sanitation and workplace safety
 - excellent customer service and communication skills
 - ability to work efficiently during peak production and maintain composure
 - basic record-keeping skills
 - ability to work a flexible schedule including some Saturdays
 
Job Duties
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
 - assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
 - ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment
 - assist with the completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
 - inform supervisor when supplies are low
 - ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
 - maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
 - handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
 - clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
 - keep display equipment clean and free of debris
 - interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
 - relay relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors
 - exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
 - check to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
 - follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed
 - complete shift work in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards
 - perform other duties as assigned
