Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous baking or food service experience preferred
Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 pounds
Flexibility to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
Ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
Good interpersonal and customer service skills
Reliable attendance and punctuality

Effective problem-solving skills to handle issues in a dynamic work environment
Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
Knowledge of retail food business and perishable department operations
Ability to follow recipes and maintain production quality

Basic math and inventory monitoring abilities

Job Duties

Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
Provide excellent customer service to guests by assisting with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level
Maintain food safety logs and ensure quality standards, including quantity expectations, are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily
Work closely with bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
Ensure regular, timely attendance and provide adequate notice for absences
Perform other duties as assigned
