Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years bakery experience or relevant education experience
Be dependable and reliable
Have good communication skills
Be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Be able to operate knives, scales, and bakery equipment
Be physically able to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 40 lbs
Have or obtain a Food Handler's permit
Be able to perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks

Job Qualifications

Have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Demonstrate dependability and reliability
Show an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Have good communication skills and ability to take direction
Ability to operate bakery equipment and take special customer orders
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift bakery items up to 40 lbs safely
Adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain cleanliness and safety of bakery department area and equipment
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of all bakery products and discarding outdated items
Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
Operate bakery equipment safely, including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
