Job Requirements

  • Prior baking experience required
  • ability to work full-time Monday through Friday
  • willingness to follow food safety and OSHA regulations
  • ability to handle physical demands of baking
  • ability to communicate effectively

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • assist with completion of production records including waste tracking and product shortages
  • inform supervisor when supplies are low
  • ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • handle food items safely and in compliance with regulations
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints professionally
  • keep up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
  • check food presentation and serving standards
  • follow sanitation and safety principles
  • complete assigned shift work timely
  • perform other duties as assigned
