Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in baking or pastry preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 60 pounds
- Flexibility to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Adherence to health and safety guidelines

- Effective problem-solving skills in a dynamic and stressful environment
- Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
- Knowledge of retail food business and perishable department operations
- Ability to follow recipes and production lists accurately
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and inventory management
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
- Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
- Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- Provide excellent customer service to guests by assisting with finding items, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
- Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
- Keep an eye on stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-levels for shifts
- Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met daily
- Work closely with all Bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
- Regular, timely attendance and compliance with work schedule
- Perform other duties as assigned
