Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have outgoing and friendly behavior
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
- Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously during 8-hour shifts
- Ability to transfer trays and items up to 40 pounds without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Achieve and maintain Food Handlers permit
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1-2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Be able to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Maintain all safety and health regulations including achieving and maintaining Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- Provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining rotation of bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- Answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the bakery department
